Drexel and Penn EWB visited the PaAWWA water conference on April 8th, 2009 to receive donation and update the community on our projects in Miramar.

As apart of the Philip B. Lindy Inner-City Public School Program, Drexel EWB and Drexel Sierra Club worked to facilitate a workshop for a group of 5th graders from West Philadelphia schools, on the importance of composting in an urban environment. Learn More by visiting our Local Outreach page.

This Month: EWB members are working with members of the Drexel Sierra Club and the Center for Civic Engagement to teach local middle school children about the environment in the 1st Annual Phillip B. Lindy Project. To learn more, visit the Local Outreach page.

Miramar Water Project
Drexel EWB will be collaborating with Rowan University to design a deep well system for Miramar and La Cieba. Results from the hydro-geological study should be in soon.
Jamaica Water Project
EWB-USA will give us the status of the project application this coming week.
Local Outreach Programs
In the upcoming weeks, Drexel EWB, partnered with the Business and Engineering Societies of Drexel University, will be facilitating two Saturday activities for the Philip B. Lindy Inner-City Public School Program. These activities will be on the importance of sustainable technology, with emphasis put on bridge building. Learn More by visiting our Local Outreach page.
